📍Where: Sumac Centre, 245 Gladstone St, New Basford, Nottingham NG7 6HX
♿ Access: There is an accessible entrance, that can be opened around the back, otherwise the front entrance is via some steps.
🧚 Who: Dreamers, wanderers, witches, healers, hippies, queerdos, artists, seekers, activists, neurodivergents, nature lovers, and the curious—anyone drawn to the magic of rhythm and connection.
🪘 What: We begin with an hour of drumming, dancing, and energy-raising—let the rhythms move you however feels right. Then we shift into a calm, sensory space for setting intentions, sharing ritual, and connecting. It’s loose, informal, and open to co-creation. Picture incense in the air, maybe a snack or tea in hand, and a space where you’re free to simply be.
❓ Why: Sometimes queer spaces feel too rigid, or spiritual spaces feel too heteronormative. This is a space where all of you is welcome. Come as you are—wild, curious, quiet, or loud. It’s for all the queer spirits of Nottingham and the East Midlands looking to meet, network, and build something beautiful together.
✨ How: This circle is something we create together. We hire the space and drums with our own funds, we suggest £5 donation to help keep it running, but No One is Turned Away for Lack of Funds.

As the days lengthen and the soil warms, April’s full moon—known as the Seed Moon or Sprouting Grass Moon—calls us into the dance of renewal. For the hunter-gatherers of these lands, it marked the return of green shoots, migrating herds, and the foraging of fresh, vital foods. Later, for agricultural folk, this was the time to sow seeds, trusting in the earth's promise and the rains to come. It was a season of faith in unseen growth, of tending to hopes not yet sprouted. And so, we queer spirits gather to do the same—to root ourselves in community, to drum life into our dreams, and to honour the sacred, tender work of becoming. Under the Seed Moon, we plant not only with our hands, but with our hearts.
